JUSTICE, PEACE AND INTEGRITY OF CREATION- OUR ACTIVITIES IN 2023

JPIC stands for justice, peace and integrity of creation. It is a movement to combat climate issues and other social justice issues like child labour and gender equality.

We, the members of JPIC, SJC, Patna, through our activities and programs, weave awareness into our education system and sensitise fellow students to make a difference and become agents of social change. Our goal is to take small steps every day for creating a society based on love, justice and equality.

JUSTICE, PEACE AND INTEGRITY OF CREATION- OUR ACTIVITIES IN 2022

JPIC (Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation) is a religious NGO associated with several branches of the United Nations. It advocates the members to participate as civil society representatives in many UN conferences. Most Loreto and CJ schools are part of JPIC. Our school, St. Joseph’s Convent High School chose three of the seventeen UN SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) to focus on-
Goal 1 (No Poverty),
Goal 2 (Zero Hunger)
Goal 13 (Climate Action).
For the session of 2022-23, the teacher coordinators were Mrs. Soma Chatterjee and Mrs. Shweta Prasad, while the student coordinators were Daksha Shrestha Singh, Kshirija Sharma, Ritika Chakraborty, Jyotsna Srivastava, Ayushi Rani and Mansi Kala. The coordinators and the members had several discussions and debates on these issues in their regular meetings including the prestigious UN CSW ( United Nations Commission on the status of women) in the month of March, 2022. The student coordinators attended this conference as the youth delegates of IBVM.
All JPIC members and coordinators also collectively made the JPIC information board to keep the school updated with the club’s latest activities.
